You will play a key role in shaping and delivering the technical interventions that will transform how storm overflows are managed, improving water quality for communities and ecosystems across the region. Job Overview As Technical Team Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of complex technical projects that underpin the Clean Rivers & Seas programme. You will provide strong programme control, financial oversight, and technical coordination, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work across multiple workstreams—from concept through to delivery—integrating inputs from engineers, analysts, and delivery partners to support data-led, innovative solutions. What you’ll be responsible for: Programme & Project Delivery Deliver multiple technical projects to agreed scope, time, cost, and quality targets Develop and maintain programme schedules, milestones, risks, and dependencies Coordinate technical workstreams from design through to implementation Financial & Commercial Management Manage elements of the technical programme budget Ensure robust forecasting, cost control, and performance reporting Work collaboratively with procurement and finance teams to drive value for money Technical Coordination Oversee activities such as flow monitoring, data acquisition, modelling, and digital tool development Integrate technical outputs from multidisciplinary teams Ensure all deliverables are quality assured and fit for purpose Governance & Compliance Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and regulatory requirements Prepare business cases, governance papers, and regulatory submissions Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships across Southern Water and partner organisations Promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement About You We are looking for a driven and collaborative project manager who thrives in a complex, fast-paced environment.
