What you will be responsible for: As a Delivery Engineer – Site Inspector, your main purpose will be to proactively manage contract performance and compliance and manage repair and Maintenance (R&M) processes for the Southern Water region & supporting functions. You will be liaising with customers, stakeholders and business partners as applicable regarding the R&M contracts while mitigating reputational & financial goals within Southern Water relating to contractual management. Additional training will be provided to fulfil this role. Involvement of R&M related issues across Southern Water, and provision of advice regarding R&M specification. Point of contact within each area. Proactive Management of Contractor Performance & Compliance: Ensure contractors meet performance standards and comply with regulations. Management of repair & maintenance (R&M) Processes: Oversee R&M processes for the Southern Water region and support functions. Liaison with Customers, Stakeholders & Business Partners: Maintain effective communication and relationships regarding R&M contracts. Mitigation of Reputational & Financial Goals: Manage contractual aspects to protect Southern Water's reputation and financial interests. What you’ll bring to the role: Technical understanding Southern water’s & industry related standards. Commercial Effectiveness and Business Expertise Reporting & record-keeping skills – Tracking Sheet (Clancy Depot-net) review & auditable processing with a view to keeping SW’s financial liability to a minimum. Promote best quality works Risk and Compliance Manage contractor performance by understanding the R&M contract & manage risk to the Business by identifying noncompliance, and trends in noncompliance. A UK Driving Licence Street works qualifications/Licence Skills and Competencies: Business Skills IT literate, familiar with Microsoft supporting frameworks Personal and Interpersonal Skills Communication skills, liaison with our business partners regarding operations, Attending core meetings under invitation. Leadership and Management Ability to manage difficult situations with external bodies (customers, Leakage/Service providers & Contractors) and internally within SW.
