As we expand our presence across Sussex, we are seeking an experienced Advertising Sales Executive to help grow our employer client base and drive revenue through the sale of our recruitment advertising products and services.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, generating new business, and helping employers solve recruitment challenges.
You will be responsible for identifying and engaging employers across Sussex, introducing them to our suite of recruitment advertising solutions, and developing long-term partnerships that generate recurring revenue.
The ideal candidate will be commercially driven, self-motivated, and comfortable managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to account management and renewal.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and business development activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with HR leaders, recruitment teams, talent acquisition professionals, business owners, and hiring managers.
- Sell recruitment advertising solutions including:
- Job advertisements
- Featured employer profiles
- Employer branding campaigns
- Social media recruitment campaigns
- Talent attraction packages
- Recruitment marketing services
- Sponsored content opportunities
- Hiring event promotions
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand employers' hiring needs and recruitment challenges.
- Present tailored recruitment advertising solutions that deliver measurable hiring outcomes.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and advertising agreements.
- Negotiate and close new business opportunities.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate sales activity records within CRM systems.
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent Sussex Hired at networking events, business expos, and employer-focused events across Sussex.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' experience in B2B sales, advertising sales, media sales, recruitment advertising, recruitment agency sales, or digital marketing sales.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers.
- Self-starter mentality with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline independently.
- Commercially minded with strong negotiation skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Sussex when required.
Desirable
- Experience selling recruitment advertising solutions.
- Experience working for a job board, media company, recruitment business, publisher, or digital marketing agency.
- Knowledge of the Sussex business community.
- Existing network of employer contacts across Sussex.
- Experience selling SaaS, subscription, or recurring revenue products.
